Been using Reason 4.0 for a while, and here are it's pros and cons :
Pros :
Interface is super easy to navigate
Never crashes, software is top notch
ReFills are easy to install
Cons :
Lead synths sound like shit, even when tweaked to the max.
Effects are all generic and cheap sounding, filters sound crispy, thin, and cold.
All pre-sets are shit. You have to really work with the synths to get any decent noises out of them.
With that said, I need a better source for Soft Synths. Mainly for my leads. Reason 4.0 makes some awesome FX, but I'm not going to lie, it sucks hard for lead synths. What other programs are available that come with decent soft synths and effects?
