I recently purchased one of these pedals and I was pleasantly suprised. Amazing gain, very flexible tonewise, it could be used for anything, not just straight metal. Built like a tank as well. I just purchased a new Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and while the clean tone on the amp was absolutely awesome, the gain was not nearly as impressive (which I was aware of when I bought it). This pedal made me go from liking my amp to loving it.

Analog w/ true bypass is the only way to go.
