try kryptonite by 3 doors down. everyone loves it and it's pretty easy.

slightly harder is the intro riff to sweet child o mine. it took me many months of playing before i got it sounding OK but it's a pretty good exercise for getting all your fingers moving, string skipping and alternate picking.
