I haven't written anything in quite a while...

I can't seem to start back up.

There's so much I want to say through song but I can't get it out..
I think if I could just get an opening line I would be able to have less problems! Any advice anyone?

Anger/sadness at the moment!

Theme of my music..
Examples of bands that I'd like to sound like would be

A Day To Remember
Broadway
Silverstein
Of Mice & Men
We Came As Romans

Which would be like post-hardcore.. Or something.. I dunno, there's too many genres nowadays
is that what you mean by theme?

Sometimes the best thing you can do as a writer, even if you aren't feeling it at the moment, is to just write. Not only does this help settle your thoughts, it can even give you other ideas. If you are struggling you should just sit down for 20 minutes and try and write some lyrics, a poem, a story, or anything else that might help.

i feel it helps to play on some kind of intrument what you like and just let the lyrics flow

thats usually what i do and it has always worked
