im looking for a drum set. it will be my first 1 and i will be learning while a friend will be learning to play the guitar. any1 know where i can get a good set thats not too expensive?

find a used set to start on, a lot of people spend mucho moolah on a brand new set, only to find out they

1: suck at it
2: dont have the time for it
3: people complain about the noise


and they sell it soon after


+ in this economy, people would rather have money than gamble on a drumming career, so its a good bet.


try to find a set with 5-7 pieces

hi hat, bass drum, snare, crash, ride, 2 rack toms and a floor tom is ideal. 2nd or 3rd crash is recommended as well, with varying sizes

Id say a pearl to start on...
Craigslist has them all the time.
