There aren't rly songs you should learn

drumming is all about styles
listen to what exctly thr drummers are doing, then try to play

if you wanna get great at drums, jam red hot chili peppers, Chad smith is dynamic as fuck

well i just got some songs of the who and him on my ipod and tried to play with them
i got problems with those idk how its called 'mini solos betwean tacts'

try pain of salvation or dream theater

if you're serious about drumming, get a teacher and just have them tell you what to do


if you want to self learn, then you need to do a lot of research. You need to know the percussions role in whatever type of music you want to play, you need to understand rhythm, you have to know the different terms and symbols of music, it helps to know how to read music, etcetc.


Or you can be Mike Portnoy, who apparently 'never practiced in his life'

Ok easy way to learn to keep in time and how to play...... Rammstein.
Not the songs from Liebe ist fur alle da LOL...
The album Reise Reise has the first song i ever learned to play.... Mein Teil. Very GOOD to start learning, after that i went on to Chop Suey by SOAD..
All Rammstein songs (except for liebe ist fur all da album) are very basic and you should learn quickly..
