i guess i would like to know what level of guitar skill i have
i can play most chords and improv with them well
played about 6 months
know about 40-50 cover songs
lots of blink 182
floyd
ozzy
clapton etc

you still have alot to learn little one

Anyone who doesn't admit this fact is in serious need of a reality check.
Now the real question is...Can you play with other people? Can you play for a long time?(like four minute songs with only a slight break between for six+ hours?)
Do you know modes?(these help alot in soloing) Can you read music?
There is alot to learn, but I'd say you started great. Keep it up and strive higher. Just because a song is out of your league now, doesn't mean you shouldn't try to learn it.
Try something by RUSH, like YYZ. Or maybe Incubus even.
Branch out from your prefered genres and experience all you can.(also helps with improv)
But hey...what do I know...I'm a drummer xD

Learn some theory kiddo, looks like you got talent, but without theory, it's a pain in the ass to improvise to a song.

learn some blues , it's a way to learn improvisation at the same time , learns sweep and shred and tapping and theory too

played around 1 year, not so aggresively
can play
heart shaped box and come clarity
and some random songs

i guess i need to train harder -10
