im in jazz band and have a solo to come up with
its over 12 measures cant remember the exact amount
anyone good at making solos? all it does is give the scales and i need to completely make it

it helps 2 make a solo if u know what the rest of the song sounds like..

take phrases from the chart and embellish them. its really easy especially with 12 bars. you can pick 1-2 phraslets and ad like 10 notes to each and youre good to go...

also go youtube the chart and see if there is a recording.

or you could just learn to solo. theres no such thing is a wrong note just make sure you resolve it if it doesnt sound great
