I've been pretty bored recently and I've been tossing around the idea of maybe trying to learn to play the bass. I'm of course not sure of my decision. I have a few friends who play guitar and a couple that play drums. My one friend basically picks up anything and can play it. I swear he could probably get chords out of a broomstick.
I'm not looking to fill a void in a band or something. I'd likely just be playing solo in my free time. I'm not sure on the decision of the bass vs something else. Hell, I don't even know if I'd be able to play it even after practicing. I played an instrument in elementary school, but that was it and it was a woodwind.
Throw it all at me. I've got next to nothing.
If my taste in music would help with the decision, let me know and I'll try to give you a taste of what I listen to.
