About 6h/week max. I don't like playing too much, I don't like not playing at all.
More of a hobby for me so I don't take it too seriously.

I used to play about 5-7 hours a day, and sometimes maybe 10 hours a day during no school days (not guitar exclusively, but also piano/bass/drums). But this was before college.. Now I can only play 7 hours max a week. Sometimes I'll do everything I can during the week so I can play on the weekends as much as I can in order to write and record new material.

It is less about how much you play, compared to how accurately you practice, and how consistently you play.

Playing 30 mins a day is better than 2 hours every 4 days etc.

Trying to play fast and sloppily will teach you to play fast and sloppily.

Learning at a pace you can play with zero mistakes consistently and then progressing faster once it's easy to play it accurately is the right way to practice and will get you much farther than other ways

School kills my time.
Now only 1-2h a day, and those hours goes mostly in learning theory :E
I'm pretty new to guitar so I'm kinda struggling around :D

put new strings on mandolin friday night, played about 3 hours to break them in before recording.

woke up saturday and started recording with live band at 10am, ended around 5:30, then went to play contra dance for 3 hours (on violin)

recorded yesterday (sunday) from 10am to 6:30pm

recorded today from 10am to 5:30pm

i figure i played collectively 29 hours with about 5 hours of breaks in there between friday and sunday. my fingers hurt bad!
