ok, so i need help tuning my electric guitar,

i just bought an electric tuner ( one that points out how well it is tuned ( too low or too high) with an arrow.



that's the exact one i have,

but if i play a string, it just goes the arrow just moves to the left and the right really quick

help please?

Plug the guitar into the tuner.
Mute all other strings (which u are not currently tuning) to ensure they are not vibrating as you pluck the other string.
Strike the string (that ur tuning) with a pick, make sure u hit it cleanly and controlled, to ensure the tone does not distort

Ya plug it into guitar and make sure it is set to guitar first.
Then make sure the volume is up on your guitar and pluck the E6.
Now if it flashes real quick it means it is either to low to read or the pitch is to high, if you can't tune by ear yet go to youtube and type in standard guitar tuning and tune it to the pitch thats on the video and then plug in your tuner to fine tune.
