i saw them im portland a few days back, it was down right fucking amazing. loved it, they sounded great. William is a great guy and the band as a whole is very humble.
The new cd came out on Tuesday, i would sugjest everyone who was born in the late 80's to VERY early 90's to buy the new CD.
Also, anyone else see AIC on the tour? If so, let me know how u thought of them.

I've seen Alice In Chains twice. 2006 Download Festival, and 2009 Sonisphere Festival. They were awesome each time! However, reviews from places that I rate very highly have all said that the album is bland and boring, and lacks the spark of earlier material, so I probably won't get the album.

dude, dont listen to critics bro, u can't please everybody. Im telling you, it's badass.
i think the sound they put out on the album, fits them as people. it's really heavy sounding, but it has an uplifting feeling to it.
it's only 10 bucks at Best buy, i would definitely say try it out dude.

i've been listening to it since friday.... Its a great record... needless to say im a huge fan of A.I.C... Facelift and jars of flys are my favorite albums.. But Obviously its going to sound differnt from there previous records with the new vocals..... which the New vocalist is badass.. and does a great job and brings his own style in the mix.... so i wouldnt Judge the record off what other people tell you to think.. and go bye it so you can give your own Opinion.. (Its your decision) LOL...

Finally, someone to comment on a great band.

The new singer (William Duvall) is a friend of Mr. Cantrell. He was in some underground hardcore punk groups back in the day.

i think it's a great CD.
It has a mix of hard, Pull/push chords, as well as catchy time signature changes.
Yet, they have soother, more mellow, a little Blue's-ish mix in it as well.
