Spending like 50-100 dollars on a pair anything recommended?

What is the purpose of these headphones?

People usually listen through em.

In any case dont waste your money on hi-fi headphones. They are all prone to the same issues of breaking. I use the 10 dollar ear candy buds because when they break i dont feel bad at all

i would go audio technica or AKG. audio technica phones for $59.99 on musicians friend are incredible. the cheap AKG ones are also really nice and fit to any head thanks to the stretchy rubber on top.

dont go buy sony headphones for $200, what a ripoff!

AKG is a really solid brand. I might through out that a pair of low-end Grado's can be bought from amazon for around $80-90 bucks. They're legit as well.

was thinking Skull candys or Dre's I have heard good stuff about both ill look into akgs

Skullcandy upper range headphones are crap. I only buy their 10 dollar cheapo ones because those are pretty good. They do break alot though.
