Alright, I'm going to start upgrading my kit and I'm looking for the following:

Good cymbals for Progressive Metal / Technical Metal - I've heard that Sabian HHX/AAX/AA are good for this, just looking for opinions.
A good longboard double pedal
A good hardware set
And good heads - I've heard remo heads are the way to go no matter what, but which kind of remo?

Any opinions would be appreciated.

pedal trick or axis, try them before u choose one,

remo isnt the best heads, try out aquarian, super kick II is the best bass drum head ever, and i like a lot hi energy 2 for the snare, cymbals i'd say you go for the hhx if u have the money, but aax are still good and more affordable, pearl hardware

I'm willing to spend up to around $5,000 on finishing my set.
Yeah, I'll probably stick with the AAX/HHX and try the Axis longboard.
I guess I'll check out the DW hardware and compare it with Pearl Hardware.

Thank you both for the help.
