Marshall / Sovtek.... but if I had to choose between the two it would be hard, but I would go with Engl, since the tone does't have that quite processed sounding distortion. Imo I just think it has a bit more character. Then again with that type of thing its opinion..

This is a useless thread. Dont post a vs thread without a purpose. Also you need to be more specific with the models and such, or for what genre you would like the comparison for.

EG I hate the triple rectifiers, but i love the mesa mark series and the roadster/king

I havent had time with ENGLs

I manly like neoclassical and death metal (various forms of metal, but death would be the heaviest).

Budget isn't really a problem. I don't plan on getting a great amp for over a year. I should have whatever amount by then.

Then we cant really answer your question. Got an estimate? Since with no budget i would just say get a Mark V

This. I tried one out a month or so ago and it was one of the most amazing piece of equipment I've ever had the pleasure of touching.
