I am going to buy a device so i can plug my guitar directly into my ocmputer and start recording
and i want something that comes with a program to edit and adjust the music i record

i need some suggestions on what i should buy

ive heard great things about M-Audio and was thinking about getting something from them

you can get free programs to record and you only need a guitar to computer jack (1/4th to standard audio converter).

I use KRISTAL to record things

edit: run it through your amp though, from amp head to computer

Yes the M-Audio fast track is very good, that's what my brother is using.

Otherwise, personally, I bought a PreSonus Firebox not long ago and it's absolutely amazing (You'll need firewire connection though). It comes with Cubase LE4 (DAW) and it's very user-friendly and easy to use.

ya i know but if im alrdy buying a plug-in for my comp then mind as well get a nice program to go with it

Vouch, presonus is great. And you definitely want firewire, especially if you every plan on buying a large board later.
If you dont have firewire, buy a firewire card first haha.

how much is a firewire card?


oh i just googled a firewire card and i think my parents might have one
because my parents own a computer shop
so i hope they do
