it's good bedroom amp, which means you wont be "gigging" with it but if you're not in a band and just play for fun in your room or entertain a small group of people, it's perfect for you, but I might say you should probally invest more money into amps, the better the amp, the better you will be essentially (not at first). hope this helps you make a decision =D.

well in this price range.

what is the best amp in your opinion?

well i currently have a 38w 1986 fender bullet reverb amp, but the sound isnt good in my opinion.

im either putting this money into a 200 amp or seymour duncan blackouts

i see peavey vypyr has 30 watts for the same price.
crate has several watts in this range.

Before you buy a new amp/pickups, lemme ask you a question, do you have any multi effect processor pedals? like digitech rp serious of line 6 pods? if not I suggest getting an rp255 (not 250) They make any decent amp sound wonderous, you can go from telecaster/strat clean, to B.C. rich warlock heavy heavy death metal on the same amp, look in to it, it doesn't disappoint, other than that get the marshall, you won't regret a marshall.

I own a Crate 120x, and I don't like it much. The tone isn't versatile at all really, so don't expect much if you buy crate. Low-end Line6 amps are okay for starting out, my friend has one and it sounds a lot better than my crate. Plus they usually have a ton of effects on them, which as you develop your skills you'll outgrow and eventually need " real " effects from stomp boxes and pedals.

That's why I recommend the digitech rp 255 =D, trust me on this, you can even use without an amp! plug your favorite and best headphones in and the guitar will play through your headphones! and sound great.
