Currently I am using a Sovtek Mig 50 high gain head paired with a marshall cab. wondering if its even worth purchasing the tiny terror, will it even be a step up? I have read countless reviews, but there are none in my area I can personally try out. I love the sovtek but am looking for a tube amp head that doesn't take a power attenuator to even be able to play at a reasonable volume and get the breakup I like. Wondering if anyone on here has played both the tiny terror and a sovtek, or if I am just gonna hold out. I was also considering the Vox Night Train.

I use a tiny terror when my amp breaks down mid gig, it is loud enough to play unmic'd. It's a good amp, but I'd never use it as my main amp.

Edit: Then again, I dont know anything about the amp your using, so maybe it would be a step up, but I do not know.

Sovteks are basicall JCM 800 clones, except with more gain and I believe there more reliable, I had a JCM 800 50 watt high gain before my sovtek and the sovtek was a step up for me. So, I am already thinking not to go with the orange tiny terror

i would say the orange would be a step down as far as power goes, but if you can afford to have both, it's a good head to have. i personally don't have one, but my friend has one and it's loud enough to use whilst jamming with people who have 50+ watt tube amps

Oh then a tiny terror would definately be a step down, if not a few steps. They are good amps though.
