i never use a pick so its kinda easy for me to figure
but it should be for anyone else too that plays music

well it sounds like shit whatever it is but you can try to hybrid pick it thats what i do it is easier for me hold pick with thumb and pointer finger and all other fingers will be performing fingerstyle just so i can strum appregiate or single string pick all in one ez er but thats just me and yes its a plucked appregio you got there so 0 and 2 will sound at same time

that is a difficult technique for a beginner. the tab is basically what is called "travis picking". think inner inner outer outer over and over, then alternate your thumb. not sure if that makes sense...
