If you know your chords - or even if you don't, for that matter - you can go to ultimate-guitar.com and search for tablature. You should be able to learn some simple songs very quickly. You shouldn't rely on tabs forever, but they can be a quick and easy way to learn for beginners.

i don't know man but i have some advice..

1. obviously, the more you play the better you will be.
2. remember you are playing to make music, ALWAYS listen for the sound, not complexity of the fingering or speed, but simply how it sounds when played. Also helps you recognize if you aren't completely ringing our notes etc.
3. Write your own music. Train your ear to recognize when it sounds like to move up a single fret, and also down a single fret. Train your ear to recognize pitches moving up and moving down, and try to eventually figure how many steps it moved by ear.

Alright the best thing imo, don't watch video's to try and get better at guitar.

The way your going to get better is to listen to music you love, try an learn it by ear, and read tabs for references if you can't figure them out.

Also write your own music, trying to watch get-good-quick videos and memorizing a ton of scales and chords isn't what is gonna make you good.

Not to say those things won't come in handy along the way, but they definitely aren't the key.
