so i have found a 7 piece mic set, for a fair price

what else do i need?

Ive heard Protools is good

but how do i connect to a pc?

what cables/stands/midi input boxes or summin??

If you're using a 7 pieace mic you need to mic your snare, kick, toms and 1 under your high-hat usually does the trick.
After this you'll need at least a single channel or 1 track recorder. record everyhting ont here then convert it to your pc.
There is when you start editing everything and if you have good software you can change the tones of all your drums.
Good luck and if you need anything else just ask. I know quite a bit about all this stuff.

Yeah.. I use 2 different versions of a bad ass Zoom 18 channel. They're linked together and run perfect with Cubase.

mic cables are all "universal" I guess you could say. They'll fit in any mic.

Program is decent because it's made by Samson/Zoom which is why I use it (comes free with endorsement)

Umm yeah there are some other bad ass sound boards. What is your budget? I will find you one that will be super epic for you haha.
