Sup guys, I check here a lot, but never post.

I'm fixing to buy myself a microphone for vocals.

Would you recommend a dynamic or a condenser microphone? I'm leaning towards purchasing a condenser microphone since they seem to provide better pick-up and less noise, but I don't really know much of the difference between the two.

So, anyone got any input?

If you're just starting, get a dynamic mic. Most people will recommend the SM58, but I think the audix OM2 and sennheiser e835 are both better mics for a comparable price.

Electro-Voice Cobalt 7 is also a nice choice

Thanks for the recommendation.

I'm sorta just starting with this recording deal.
Made YouTube covers, used to make my own music and put it on MySpace, was pretty good, using a lot of noise reduction plug-ins, but they would only do so much.
Looking to up my game. :D
