I know there a lot of great ones out there, but i'l throw MY favorite 3 in here.. im not going to put them in a particular order as i dont take music as a competition. They are 3 very talented and dedicated acoustic soloists. I like artists who are melodic, creative, fluid and innovative.

Micheal Hedges- Altought i only discoved Micheal after his death, i can understand how revolutionnary he must have been when he merged..True innovative genius. Very talented and very heartfelt. A lot of the techniques my other 2 favorite players must have came from him. May his soul RIP.

Andy Mckee- First time iv'e seen Andy, i was blown away. His performances on Youtube are all so fluid and precise.. while being heartfelt and melodious. I love his compositions and his flawless playing. He also made me discover the harp guitar wich he masters. Great respect for him, music from the soul.

Erik Mongrain- Erik is just merging, and is still much out of the spotlight.. but his playing is probably the most innovative since the great Micheal Hedges. His Tap guitar technique is awsomly impressive, while his playing on his new album Equilibrium is also very innovative. His style might be a little more on the dark side, wich is probably why he's not as know as the other 2, but nonetherless, he has undeniable talent at his young age.

I know most you probably know these guys already, if you dont well check em out and give me feedback ;)
Feel free to leave your favorite in here too, i always love to discover new talent and inspiration.
Peace out!

My idol is Tommy Emmanuel (his music is incredible) , Rodrigo and Gabriela are also amazing guitarists, and I'd have to say that Kotaro Oshio is also really good. These are probably by far my favorite guitarists :D

Edit: Jesse Cook has some really awesome music there, if you're a fan of flamenco, definitely be sure to check out Rodrigo and Gabriela (not exactly flamenco, but spanish enough :P)

I'm not really huge on acoustic stuff, but you should check out Antoine Dufour. He's on the same label as Mckee (candyrat), and he's also damn good.

Can't believe no one mentioned John Butler yet >.<, btw this is a nice "jam" like session of his ocean song. And wow why does every one only watch Candy Rat guitarists on youtube :| ???

Edit: They're def good, no doubt, but theres so much talent out there -- seriously, check out Tommy Emmanuel.
