This idea sparked out of my wanting to get studio monitors for my comp, but realized I need a mixer so all the digital static/interferance from my comp wouldn't blow my monitors.

So basically I want to run a setup like this.

1x 4 Channel Mixer
1x MPC
1x Condenser Mic
2x Studio Monitors
1x CDJ
1x Vinyl Turntable
1x DJ Mixer

The 4 channel mixer will control the MPC, Monitors, Turntables, and Mic levels.

Questions:
Are a channel mixer and DJ mixer cross-compatable? Can I hook them up to eachother, or will I have to have 2 seperate setups.
About how much would all this cost me?
The MPC, Mic, Turntables, and Monitors can all be plugged into the mixer at the same time and I can just switch what I want to hear and what I wanted muted, correct?

And anything else you would like to add if you have any knowledge of a similar setup :)

You can get 4tracks as cheap as 100$. Concerning the vinyl turn table, I believe decent ones start around 300$. The rest I'm not so sure, but I'm confident you'll be spending as much as 1.5K for a decent setup of all the items you listed above. A good one would probably run you several thousand.

1x MPC, 1x CDJ -what are these?

dont forget you need a board (4 track) with phantom power for your mic -still $100, beringer if you want cheap tho there is difference between nice boards and crappy boards. also you need a preamp. i suggest the studio projects line of tube preamps -i bought mine at about $120 and am very satisfied.

djcross mixer has 1 stereo output right? will work fine.

How can you do it with one CDJ?

You have to have at least 2 for mixing purposes.

Why would you mix vinyl to a cdj then back to vinyl...

Unless you're not planning on mixing.

not true. some denon cdjs allow you to save tracks from cds. so let's say you're playing a hip hop track you wanan scratch on, you save that while it's playing, eject the cd, throw on an accappella track and scratch on top of that

1x 4 Channel Mixer

Look for a Soundcraft EFX8 (cheap and some good effect)
I know its an 8 track (you asked 4), but we are using it in my band, and my singer is really happy.
