I want to start singin, nothing too expensive. Just something for me to mess around with for a affordable price. Oh, and USB kind of microphone, something that looks like those Karaoke Microphones, if there is one.

You don't need microphones to sing, much less to learn to sing. I've been singing for 9 years and still don't have a microphone lol, if I ever perform I use the stage's mics any how. Trust me, microphones will not help you in any way, unless you are looking to hear a play back of your singing (which I've just used a regular recorder for in the past).

assuming he has an amp. He only wants a 'karaoke machine' type mics lol -- seriously, you can get any cheap mic at radio shack for like 10 bucks, but its really not worth it.... what are you going to do with a mic? if you don't know how to sing, you're going to sound bad either way >.>; worse on a mic actually.

If you plan on getting performance grade mics in the future though, get one with an XLR output thats the only advice I have.

It really doesn't matter in that case, just grab any random mic from Radio Shack -- USB mic = inherent bad quality lol.

They're only 10 dollars, 20 at most -- you can't really go wrong with your choice.

first sensible post in this thread, although the E835 is in my opinion a better mic. the sm58 is ultimately more popular.
