Never just blindly buy a guitar from the internet, because it could sound different than you would imagine. So I would advice you to go to a gutiar shop and just test some guitars in your price range ( you don't need to know how to play really, just how they feel and stuff ). Afterwards you can still order the guitar for a better price, but then you'll already know what will arrive.

There should be a good Ibanez or Schechter for that price. Maybe an Epiphone or a Squier ( but i don't like squiers at all.. ).

Well the Ibanez RG series are really good. Also good entry/mid level guitars are the Agile's from rondomusic.com They are very highly regarded by many users on Ultimate-Guitar.com

Vouch this entirely.

Go to a guitar shop before getting a guitar. You have to like the feel of the guitar, not just the look.

I suggest Ibanez, Jackson, Fender, and although i hate them, Epiphone...

!!!

A guitar is something very personal... it's like it lets you soul sing wink.gif Something a not-guitarrist would never understand.

Imo a car is just a box with a motor with wheels.. I could never "bind" myself to a car, like I do it with my guitar. Of course this is a relative matter..

mexican made fender tele or strat is just about in that range, and totally worth it. or you could just save up and get a really good guitar, which would make more sense.
