what is musical theory? please don't kill me for knowing nothing about music!!!!!

It's pretty straight forward if you look at it hard enough.

so all it is is like.......what music it self is?

The composition of music, how its written, the use of scales, etc.

Basically the "science" behind music and writing it.

the logic behind music.. its like a guide for music some think its rules but its simply a guide i would recomend learning atleast some theory
