So I've got a real kit already, fairly big, but I needed something smaller and quiter because I'm moving
in with my girl friend next year into a basement apartment, so the acoustics aren't gonna work
unfortunately ...Anyways my mom's got this friend at work that's selling some electric drums so I thought
it would be a good idea to consider..The thing is I dont know anything about electric, so I was wondering
if anyone could give me some tips or pointer or what to look for. This is what she's selling...

So this girl really has no idea about drums at all so I don't know how much is accurate or not, but that's all the
info I have so far...She's asking 700 right now but I think I can talk her down...It also comes with the bass pedal
and some other stuff aswell. So I guess just let me know what you guys think

I also forgot to mention that her boy friend payed between 1200 and 1500 bucks, so it sounds like a good deal

I can vouch the DM-5 my drummer used to use one just for his kick, did wonders live.

If I was to go for an electric, I wouldn't put out less than 2k to be honest. Otherwise you're just waiting to throw money at new hardware to replace what breaks off in a year.

Also consider the price of a decent amp (probably a monitor) in case you get bored of headphones.

Ya i just saw some pics of it, and it looks retarded, the cymbal on the top left is actually a pad, and the snare and bass drum skins are mesh, wtf?
