i have been feeling the need to play lower lately... a lot lower. i've got a 7 string, but i like to play my 6's a lot more, so. whats the best string diameter to get for drop A# tuning?

try acoustic strings. larger the gauge the better tension youll get (the more tension the better tone quality, feel and sustain)

just use higher gauge electric strings, acoustic strings may get him a tone different from what he wants
(not metal (?))

yeah, metal
lower i can get, and still sustain gfg distortion, the better
oh, and in case it matters, guitar is Ibanez S320
pickups are D-Activators
