^^

it is hard at first, but with practice it will come. just sing your heart out while playing, it will come my friend. i still have trouble sometimes and find myself singing the melody, but its alot better than it once was.

Best thing to do is make up lyrics that fit well with the chord changes
Ofcourse this only applies if you're making up your own songs.

yeah, i like to do rhythm when i sing... but its still hard as hell, especially if the rhythm of the vocals dont match that of the guitar, lol. guitar and singing is one thing, but i cant imagine drums and singing. i've tried it, and not only is it wicked hard to do, but your voice is all shakey cause you're moving around so much. props to whoever can play and sing.

Practice with songs matching the vocal and guitar rhythms and don't try to play anything overly complex while singing, it takes practice and it is nearly impossible to do so at different rhythms.

dude trust me I was in the same position as you a year ago, voice all shakey and all. smile.gif
now I'm good as ever at singing and playing.
it takes some practice and yeah it will help if the lyrics match the guitar rhythm, but once you get that down it will become easier to make it work when the lyrics aren't so close to the guitar rhythm. smile.gif
I think you should just practice with guitar and try singing to it, don't imagine drums or anything yet... when the song is finished and you're actually playing w/ drums then u just need to listen to your own guitar playing imo.
good luck.
