So my friends have a drum and base line for a new song they're working on, and they want me to come up with a rhymth part for that song....

Is it possible to find a rhythm part for anything that just has a drum and base line?

Just jam and improvise with the drum. Don't bother listening to the bass line tongue.gif

well if ur talkin that u play the guitar then the drum should follow u..
what he needs to do is let u do the jamming and he should come in under u and follow what ur doin
if u lay down a heavy jam then he should have a good enough time beatin on it

bass should follow u as well or u follow him, either way is good and its real good for a bassist to play a little lead when you can fit him

? lool

i'd just follow the bassist since he's already laying down the rhythm, unless you have a bassist like the one in my band who is always doing crazy sick lines everywhere.

black label societies bassist pulls out some cool solos quite a bit.
lotta bands run em over though like pantera but dimebag did a more than decent job covering that

I don't think Wooten is the best ever, but I'm definitely down with his talent.
