It has come to my attention that these three major bands have been the definitive music icons through their time frames.

In my humble opinion i feel that each band contributes something very unique and special to society.
I would like to broaden my perspective on where each of these bands settle in your minds.

Agreed.
Maybe Oasis was big in the UK but definitely not in the US. The Beatles and Rolling Stones also have staying power. Who still buys the first Oasis album?
