90% bands i listen are drop c or lower... see no reason why is that bad.. it only gives more powerfull and heavyer sound.
Stoner rock/metal, sludge, drone,doom = all dropped

dont play guitar (drum player)but strings my band guys uses i think are 12´ or 13´
