ok, so i have an ipod touch, and on my desktop i had itunes with all my songs, synced with my ipod. a few days ago i bought a new laptop.

when i installed itunes on my laptop i had the option to "erase and sync", which i t hink means all my music on my ipod will be erased.

so, i was wondering how to transfer my songs from my ipod to my new laptop. thx for all help.

How about this: transfer data from older comp via USB, much simpler solution. If you just drag and drop from ipod, the songs will have 4letter encrypted names.

Actually depending on your ipod (size) the ipod works as a storage device (external hard drive) so you can copy all of your music from your old comp into your ipod (NOT THROUGH ITUNES, Go into My Computer and it should show, like a flash drive, your ipod and you can copy it there and then copy it to your new computer)

Also, you are a mediator, why are you posting in the wrong forum?
