I just bough a peavey valveking 212 and I like to know if we open it like that :

Power, waiting about 3 minutes. After, standby and I can play.

Or...

Standby, waiting, power and play.

I think that the first one is the good one but tell me if I'm right.

You were right the first time. Turn on the power switch, while the standby switch remains off. The power light should turn on, but you won't hear any sound. After a few minutes, switch standby to on, and you're good.
