alright so i'm looking to start up bass, but im not really sure what to look for. i dont really wana buy some piece of shit lol

the best deal i can seem to find is a Fernandes Tremor, but i dont know what they sound like or how they play

i thought i would see what other people think about brands to look at when it comes to quality. im not looking to spend tons of money, but i'm willing to invest a little more for something decent.

so any thoughts?

well the usual questions stand:

how much you willing to pay, and who do you want to sound like?

I found Dean has a pretty nice starter-pack for their playmate, was like $300. The amp sucks, though, but you'll want to upgrade it anyway.

well my favorite bassist is Ryan Martinie of Mudvayne, but it would be LONG ass time before i could sound like that lol

i'd say probably no more then like 250-300 on the first one, just enough for something decent and to eliminate the crap tongue.gif lol

sounds to me like youd want a P-bass, you can get a decent one from squier im sure....the more namely brands are all 400+ I think.

just keep in mind when you buy a guitar, you also have to get an amp...
