So here I am, pissed off because I have to cut down on smoking in order to save up some money for a nice instrument.
I was planning to buy a keyboard, and practise hard in hopes of ever being able to play anything nice on it.

I am thinking of buying a Minimoog Voyager Old School some time, but since they're way out of my price range, and since I don't want to buy such expensive stuff before I can even play the simplest of songs, I'll leave that one untouched for now.
My main problem is, what should I buy? I'm thinking of getting a regular keyboard thingy. (Not a synth like the Minimoog)

In short;
Not too expensive
Good for rock music
A nice instrument for beginners

Thanks in advance!

The Fantoms, Motifs, and Tritons are all nice keyboards I think.
Will be expensive as a first keyboard but I think its well worth it.

Thanks a lot, I will wait for some more suggestions from others before I make a choice.
But I'll check those out smile.gif

Just try a few out at your local music store.
I would recommend getting weighted hammer action keys.

I would, but there really isn't much trying out I can do besides hitting a few random keys.
I have no experience with keyboards whatsoever, it's gonna be my first keyboard. (Except for a crappy toy one I had as a little kid XD)

Using a midi controller and certain software may be a cheaper alternative. I dont really know much about it though.

Meh, I don't like that idea, but thanks anyway. ^^
Besides, a cheap keyboard would fit into my budget I guess.

just find a yamaha one for 100 bucks and play on that until you feel that your instrument is limiting you
