Hey guys I'm currently creating music on the computer but I wanna buy some gear now.
I was wondering what is most important for me now and should i go for cheap and upgrade later or expensive and good?

things i think i need:

- mic
- audio card (external or internal?)
- midi keyboard
- monitor speakers ?
- i forgot some other stuff

i was also wondering if anyone has some tips for lyrics writing.

so please help me out!

It would help to know what you have right now. What type of music you are creating, is it all digital + your singing or are you playing instruments as well.

I'm creating all kinds of music right now (digital) and singing, so a midi keyboard will come into play and maybe later a guitar but im not sure.

You'd do well to get an audio interface, probably with firewire. You want an interface so you can route your speakers, mic (especially if you're using XLR) and midi. Also a note on using midi- try get ASIO drivers if you have noticeable latency. I remember I got like 70ms until I used ASIO drivers and now I get about 5.
