and was wondering where do i put my left hand? in between the bar thingys or on them? sorry i dont know what else to call them im a noob to guitar

righ to the left of the frets, the closer you are to the fret the cleaner the sound

well it's better to play closer to the metal part...but u just gotta press hard on w/e fret ur on.
