I DIDNT KNOW IF THIS WAS A PROPER PLACE FOR THIS
if not mod can close no problem

ok.. so my friend wants to put some money into buying a system for his car(98 Toyota Rav4)

i think its kind of a joke because hes basically gonna get a new car in a year or so and the rav4 isnt in greatest shape

i cant talk him out of it, and basically we need ideas on what he should get

basically this is what we need:
Amplifier
Front Door Panel Speakers
Reciever
Sub

Maybe rear speakers too

i know how to set the system up(good with wiring) but have no clue what he should buy lol

i just need a setup with links togood items for good cost( about 500 max)

i greatly appreciate it, and try using crutchfield i hear its good

lol

since you know about crutchfield id say you do it yourself?

I have a 90 vw corrado

with brand new alpine's in front panel and rear panel (wanted JBL's but they didnt fit)

Also have 2 10" Alpine subs, enclosed in box with Alpine 450 watt amp

my cd player is also alpine, newer model for ipod connection.

Speakers are cheap

amp was 200, both subs together was 200 and my cdplayer was 200

so thats pretty decent

that budget its kinda tight. this is what i would do.

Do Not skip this part hence its the most important part of the wholse system except maybe the Head Unit
scroll down to memphis enclosures and look at the Pb110 or PB112
http://audioenhancers.com/catalog_drvr_specific.html#PB

Go to Products>Subwoofers>scroll down to PR series (Power Reference) you will need 1 of these it must be Single coil 4ohms
http://www.memphiscaraudio.com/

Go to Products>Amplifiers>scroll down to the Street Edge Amplifiers
Look at the SE2.100 (you are going to use the bridge mode on this one)
http://www.memphiscaraudio.com/

As far as the coaxials i also picked Memphis street edge for you, they offer a lifetime warranty on all of their components and its affordable, about 30 bucks a pair (remember im having to work with your budget here)
Go to Products>Speakers>scroll down to the Street Edge speakers you will need 4x 6.5"
http://www.memphiscaraudio.com/

I tried to stay away from walmart brands, but as for the Head unit i would recommend you to buy a used (good by good i mean no foreign "flea market brands" and walmart stuff) head unit maybe try eebay.com?

here is the stuff you need to connect the aftermarket radio.
