i wanna learn how to play the guitar but dont know where to start..and im too cheap to take lessons HELP ME!!

I would suggest looking up some tabs.

Learning how to read can kind of be annoying, but its very useful.
Also search youtube for guitar lessons. There used to be some decent ones on there.
Most of all just practice, thats where I failed. Didn't have enough time to devote and eventually just quit. Try not to let that happen, I miss playing and regret quitting.

GET FUCKING LESSONS. If you're too cheap to learn the right way, then you shouldn't play at all.

learn all of the basic major and minor chords. practice your transitions. start using your ears.
you can start with those 3.

not everyone has the dough to spend on a guitar teacher, there a plenty of accomplished self taught guitarist out there. all you gotta do is get to know the guitar by trying to play the songs u enjoy and when you get comfortable with the feel of the guitar then u can try out your theory:scales,modes,etc... dont pay a teacher for something you can learn yourself, unless u really can afford it or daddy or mommy can
