The sound they produce is really fake sounding to me. My first amp was a Line 6 Spider III (I didn't know any better) and I thought it sounded great. Then I played my current amp, a Fender Blues Deluxe '65 Re-Issue (tube amp), and realized just how bad my Line 6 amp sounds. Needless to say, I only use my Line 6 for the built-in tuner now.
Ya i went to a music store around me some fag tried pushin me into buying a line 6 spider III i played it with this cheap ass guitar they had to demo shit and it sounded pretty good on the different settings but i was like if i play this hunk of shit through it and it sounds good? Won't every guitar? Its too digital, and overpriced. So a few weeks later on craigslist i picked up a fender hot rod deville for only like $500 it was all dusty and shit so i cleaned it up and changed tubes and its like a brand new amp some people ask me when did you get the new amp ahaha. So anyways i play my epi les paul (wish was Gibson but fuck the prices it sounds the same.) through it and it sounds pretty mean and loud as hell. There wasn't much of a distortion for lower levels so i use my rp90 idk i may trade it for a tubescreamer beacuase the rp90 is gettin digifake. I might post a pic of my shit later idk prolly get put to shame. But ya never buy a line 6 spider III or something with a bunch of effects get a nice tube amp and add pedals.
