I'm a Jazz fag?  LOL, ya, sucks that I enjoy the most American music that exists, which oddly enough contains is some of the most harmonically & melodically advanced stuff out there.  I'm a musician, I like all types of music...Jazz is but one of many...the same goes for the guitarists I enjoy listening to.

Yep this kid's definitely a jazz fag.

I can't believe this is still going on. Why don't you guitar players record yourselves ACTUALLY playing your guitars and post them up here to see who's best?

What the fuck are you talking about?

There's something wrong with listening to/playing quality music like jazz?

Actually I have studied Jazz music in Berklee from 1987 to 1991. I spent the next year not existing and in 1992 I was born, with a super-degree in musical opinions, so, yes, I am more qualified than you.

Looking at that post, I realize you're a hopeless case. Just another music student who likes to repeat what his snobby music teachers liked to joke about for artistic credit. While these guitarists are enjoying unlimited means to perform and develop their music, you'll never be more than a high school teacher at best.

That's funny because I've never had a snobby teacher in private lessons, theory or history...and considering I can appreciate almost all musically valid things...your point doesn't hold much water. I don't even consider myself a jazz guitarist, I'm much more from a rock/blues background, and my roots will always be there.

Thats because INTERNET. See if he's the same IRL.

Chronowarp, do you honestly not even think JP has skill beyond others?

Yes, Joe Pass is lightyears ahead pretty much everyone posted ITT in terms of musicality. He can actually play fast while combating extremely complex changes, rather than regurgitating 3nps patterns over diatonic horseshit, and is just musical in general. He is a guitar virtuoso, period. Practicing scale patterns does not even make you good at guitar, let alone a virtuoso. Grow up musically.
