The double bass patterns and coordination he had was great.... Take Blinded in Chains for a simple example...

Its not that difficult, its the placement and the beat itself.. Its unique and simple/moderate.
I rarely hear these kinds of beats and they are great for metal music.

Different styles of music, (Mike Portnoy IS the best drummer I have ever seen, and is my fav....)
Avenged Sevenfold and Dream Theater/Rush call for different notes and beats, its not the same lol.
