Why would I do it? Anyone who spends that much time practicing scale exercises isn't a musician. It would be a waste of my time and skill to waste my time playing scales to a metronome at that speed; it has no musical applicability.

And, no, not everything in music is a scale. Harmony and melody may be based on scales, but playing a scale in a nonmusical linear fashion with no concern for rhythm, motif, or phrasing is about as far removed as you can get from music. MAB learned scale patterns then never realized they were simply a means of working the scale of the key into your muscle memory, and not a formulaic device for attempting to play music. MAB is fail.

Based on scale = is a scale. You are a fucking idiot. All music is just scales.
