Well personally, I do not take the looks into consideration at all, just the sound of the guitar. (That's not to say I don't like a beautiful guitar, but I will not choose a guitar based on this)
But I understand that some may take the looks into consideration.
I just find the statement that tele's are "shit" simply because of their looks is quite absurd.

I don't think that is what they were saying. Either way, whether or not it is ugly is simply a matter of opinion. I happen to think they are beautiful. Either way, they are great guitars.

That is exactly what the comment that prompted this entire argument said. If it had said any less, it wouldn't have been such an issue. And yes, looks are a matter of opinion of course.

As for MY dream guitar, it would definitely be a custom schecter hellraiser, or jeff loomis' Sig model.

Because a very talented guitarist played a certain guitar you will worship that guitar?

That's even MORE stupid than me basing on it's look.
