epiphone specials are like mad eout of the wood pencils are lol, there not heavy at all. The Esp's are made out of a solid wood, not particle board.

Epiphones dont fall apart, and i know of no company that has guitars that just crumble to pieces. The difference between the guitars are the wood, quality of parts, pickups and that one that makes the most difference, having someone inspect the guitar before shipping. Tuning stability and intonation are largely contributed by the nut and the quality of the bridge. So cheap guitar, tuning may be out sometimes, but the nut is a fixable problem, a 2000 Gibson could have this just as well. Its just that the Gibson whent through detailed inspection before it whent out. There is not much of a difference between the higher and lower end models. While i would suggest agile over epiphone you will be getting something you can use and not trash.

Its not as if I saying the epi standards do, I am talking about the Epiphone Les Paul Special II, or SG Special II specifically, is a known problem guitar.
