The link i posted say's otherwise.

The bible gives multiple examples that go in favor of either point. But you make it seem like it is absurd to think it exists. If the dead as immediately judged and either sent to heaven or hell then why pray for the dead? There has to be an intermediary point where they are judged or where they may not have sinned to the point of damnation but they are not pure as to enter heaven. That is the idea behind purgatory.

The Bible says that if you have not accepted Jesus as your saviour, you are going to hell. Period. I don't need to go to the link because i'm 100% sure the Bible does not even say a word about purgatory. Who prays for the dead, lol? I pray for their family, but praying for a dead person is absolutely pointless.

well if you dont accept christ as your saviour yes you are going to hell
and im sure your way older then me

and im not saying im holy AT ALL
im just saying catholics are all about being HOLY
when no one in the church is holy at all
and neither am i
idk where you got the idea i said i was holy rofl cuz im not AT ALL
reading the bible has nothing to do with going to heaven or hell rofl

I am older than you, maybe once you're matured a little, and have had more time to read the Bible, you'll realize why it's a fraud.
*sigh*, do you really not know what the phrase "holier-than-thou" means...
I was referring to the message behind the Bible. I've read it "religiously" if you will, and you know bits and pieces, give or take. I know more about what it says, yet I'm the one going to hell...

lol dude are you scared of going to the link because you'll be proven wrong? Just open up your Bible and start reading from the beginning, eventually you'll find the quotes in that link and realize the Bible DOES in fact mention purgatory. If you're so sure that it doesn't, why are you scared to open the link and check your Bible yourself?

Because i've read the entire thing, and I'm not stupid. Give me a Bible reference from the link. I know there isn't one there.

Because you haven't read it thoroughly.
Read the damn book and then you're opinion on it will matter.

2 Maccabees 12:39-45
1 Corinthians 3:15
Revelation 21:27
Psalm 141:8; Daniel 12:10; Micah 7:9; Zechariah 9:11; Matthew 5:26; Matthew 12:32 & 36; Luke 12:47-48; Philippians 2:10; Hebrews 12:22b; James 3:1; 1 Peter 3:19; 1 Peter 4:18; 1 Peter 1:7; and Jude 23
Genesis 50:10; Numbers 20:29; Deuteronomy 34:8; 2 Maccabees 12:44-45; 1 Corinthians 15:29; 2 Timothy 1:16-18; 2 Timothy 4:19

It appears you are stupid then. Either that or just willfully ignorant on the matter. (considering you refuse to even open the link)
I got all that from the link, why are you so against clicking on the damn link, rofl? Go look up all those passages in your little idiot-book.

PS: I'm not trying to insult u or anything, so don't take the stupid thing personally, and I only said it because purgatory IS, in fact in the bible

I'll check the verses in a second.
But the first problem I see is that Maccabees is not a book in the Bible. The Catholics wrote it and added it.

Edit: those verses don't make any sense lol.

1 Corinthians 3:15: 15If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.
Revelation 21:17: 17He measured its wall and it was 144 cubits[a] thick,[b] by man's measurement, which the angel was using.
Psalm 141:8: 8 But my eyes are fixed on you, O Sovereign LORD;
in you I take refugeā€”do not give me over to death.

I'm not even going to bother looking up the rest. These dont have a single thing to do with purgatory. Lol?

The Catholics did not write it, they were verses of uncertain authenticity (just like every other story in the Bible) which some sects decided didn't make the cut into the Bible. However, many sects follow these verses, not just Catholics. One prime example being Protestants.

Protesants do not follow that, it is absolutely ONLY Catholics, and I will stand by this 100%. I am a protestant. And every single 'Christian that isn't a Catholic' ('which doesn't make sense anyway') is a protestant. (Maybe not 100%, but 99%+). So that is definately false.

Edit: I actually thought I was debating with someone who knew a little bit about the subject. But it seems you just make stuff up, or just believe random links that you google on the arguements that are brought up. You are bringing absolutely no credibility to anything you are saying, and are making things up.

Protestants aren't a prime example, lol, they are everyone except Catholics, and there are certainly groups that don't accept Maccabees - I've never even heard of it until just now.
