Wow...

Most of that list is a joke, right? Lars Ulrich is recognized by his peers to be one of the worst drummers in any genre of metal; he's a literal laughing-stock.

Where is Derek Roddy, Marco Minnemann, Mike Portnoy, Tony Royster, Jr., Tomas Haake, Hannes Grossman, Conny Pettersson, Terry Bozzio... The list goes on and on.

I could list fifty drummers from all genres of music that belong on that list more than trash like Lars Ulrich, Dave Lombardo, Joey Jordison, Travis Barker, and Chad Smith. Drummers that are actually revered by their peers for being technically brilliant and innovative.

Marry me! there is to much truth spoken in this quote! take head and understand Lars and jeoy suck.

all of you speaking of metal, listen to some non mainstream deathcore if you wanna be metal. no judas priest, no metallica, i mean like birdflesh, brain drill, white chapel, blood duster, blood red throne.
anyway, a drummer that i really like, even know he's not the type a lot of people really look at, is morgan rose from sevendust. he's been a great influence to me, as a great drummer, a great vocalist, and an overall cool guy. met him backstage at a concert once, one of the best experiences of my life. one of the most impressive metal drummers i've ever seen though, is derek roddy. his speed is unrivaled, and i cant believe he's human.

no mention of Hellhammer proves the uselessness of this thread.

My favorite, although young, would be Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan. Nicko McBrain is great, too.

But on the list, Neil Peart.

How are Mike Mangini and Mike Portnoy not on this list?

And many others... Weckl, Steve Gadd, Thomas Lang, Vinnie...

Travis Barker is trash.
