Just learned : Vio-lence - Calling in the Coroner

Currently learning : Death - Voice of the Soul , and trying to pick out each individual guitar in it. The riffs themselves aren't too complex, it's the trying to find a way to play this as a single guitarist and maybe finding a loop that works for the acoustic part that's a bitch. Chuck was a master at adding depth and layers IMO.

EDIT : Quicksand Jesus used to be one of my vocal showstoppers until I started smoking hardcore. I could hit that massive ass high held note near the end sad.gif Something I've thought about working on, since lately I'm writing a lot of Viking thrash and the falsetto would go well with the bridge/outro.

Agreed man. Falsetto is a difficult one to master, because to get the depth and power behind it uses parts of your vocal chords that are just rarely used! Hope you manage to sort it biggrin.gif

also, i will give that Death song a listen too biggrin.gif

just learned "the blackest crow" and "cherokee trail"on fiddle

here's my list to learn before farmer's market gigs (6 gigs)

pretty little dog -evil
shakin down the acorns
ways of the world
and a bunch more, too tired to think

basically at farmers market you have to play from 8am to noon (break whenever you want) for tips. people tip decent, also if you wander from stand to stand people tip you in food/herb/etc... a FM setlist should be at least 25 songs, 30 is nice to have.

Not always, sometimes it's the easiest way to learn techniques like harmonization. Also good for warming up if everyone knows the same song and a band is in its infancy.
